Throw with the intent of throwing hard at a specific location for a specific purpose.

Breakdown

  1. Small Steps (1-2-3)
  2. Stay Tall
  3. Stay closed – wait, gain power. 
  4. Elbows—Increase Distance
  5. Pump Up – Scapula
  6. Drive
  7. Elbows—Decrease Distance
  8. Reach
  9. Begin to open
  10. Release
  11. Follow Through
  12. Field your Position

 Conditioning

  1. Daily Body Work (Micro Cycle)
  2. Shoulder Work (Micro Cycle)
  3. Elastic Work (Micro Cycle)
  4. Aerobic Work (Micro Cycle)

 Key Points

  1. Utilize the long toss program
  2. Utilize the spot drill
  3. Warm-up using your change up
  4. Throw with different seams—Control the baseball
  5. Conditioning = Endurance on the mound / Higher pitch count
