OF - COMMUNICATION DRILL
PUBLISHED BY OHS VARSITY BASEBALL
Set outfielders in two seperate groups in the outfield. You must have approximately 30 yards in between both groups.
The coach will now hit balls (ground balls and pop flies) in the middle of both groups. The first player in each line will track down the ball. One player will call out the ball with the other fielder backing them up. Use effective communication on all balls that are hit to the outfield. After the catch, make a strong accurate throw to a cut off man. After the two players have effectively completed the drill, they are to switch lines. Repeat for approximately 10 - 15 minutes.
